125th Anniversary Celebration

Brinkley Walser, PLLC celebrated its 125th Anniversary by hosting a Business After Hours event with the Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce. The event was held in the Brinkley Walser historic library and had approximately 70 attendees. We hope you enjoy some of the photos from the event! See more photos on our Facebook page.

There are some highlights and thank you’s we would like to make here:The Brinkley Walser Team Celebrates 125 Years of Service

Our group took a photo outside yesterday prior to the event with our distinguished (and newly refurbished) pig. A big thanks to artist Margaret Sink for her hard work in getting our pig ready for the big event and prior to the 26th annual Lexington BBQ Festival on October 22 in Uptown Lexington. The pig is holding a banner that says, ”A Tradition of Service to Our Community, Established 1886,” and standing on a book that is titled Our First 125 Years, Small Print Edition.

Hallway to the historic Brinkley Walser libraryWe revamped the hallway to the library. We had a copy made of the Zeb Walser portrait that is in the Courthouse. This was added to the hall with a portrait of Gaither Walser and Don Walser along with the picture of Zeb Walser on the campaign train with Teddy Roosevelt.

The wall and table arrangements were designed and put together by Tom Tussey and Jeff Miller who have opened up a new store in town named Backyard Retreat and we would like to thank them for their assistance. The cake with our 125th logo was our centerpiece on the table and on each side we had the 4 Volumes of The Winning of the West by Theodore Roosevelt dated 1889 that was signed and given to Zeb Walser in 1909. We have made copies of this note and now have it framed in the library. We also had a table and easel display of old pictures and articles about Zeb Walser and the Walser family.

Mayor John Walser of Lexington attended and read a proclamation from the City. The City of Lexington NC recognized Brinkley Walser for 125 Years of Service

Last but not least, we would very much like to thank Burr Sullivan and the Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce for making the event happen. And a special thanks to all the staff for the hard work and planning to make this such a historic and fun event.

Thank you to everyone who has followed our 125 Day “countdown” to the Anniversary. We hope that Brinkley Walser is still here in another 125 years serving the legal needs of the community.
